Questions

Good to know before you begin.

Who FuelWell is for, what the demo shows, and what is still being built.

Common questions

Straight answers.

FuelWell is a student project for ENGIN 183. Here is what it can and can’t do today.

Who is FuelWell for?

Mainly adult children who plan meals for a parent with chronic kidney disease (stage G3 or G4). People managing their own kidney diet can use it too.

What will I see in the demo?

You sign in as Heidi, who manages meals for her mom, Fung (78, CKD stage G3b, who enjoys Cantonese home cooking). Everything in the demo account is sample data.

Can my brother or sister see the plan?

Yes. The family view gives a sibling view-only access, like Heidi’s sister Joyce in the demo.

Does FuelWell replace the doctor or dietitian?

No. It helps you follow the plan from your parent’s care team. Diet decisions should always be checked with a qualified clinician.

Should I enter real health information?

Please don’t. This is a student project, not a medical service. Use the demo or made-up details.

Does it cost anything?

No. FuelWell is a free student project with no pricing or insurance billing.

Getting connected

The practical details, made clear.

For doctors and dietitians

We’re exploring how care teams could share diet guidance with families. Referral tools are not built yet.

How it was built

Cost and insurance

There is nothing to pay. FuelWell is a class project, so it doesn’t bill insurance or offer paid care.

Ready to look around?

See it through Heidi’s eyes.

The demo opens straight to her mom’s meal plan.
